June 15, 2007 8:29 am UncategorizedWelcome to my site on retiring which is designed to help you let go of those obtacles that get in the way of leading a life filled with passion and fullfillment.
Feel free to forward this site to a friend.
There are lots of times in our lifes when we retire. The one that is most often referred to is retiring from our work. (this may mean the job that provided us with a living including food, shelter and transportation) This site is about retiring from other areas of our life than work. It is about giving up or letting go those obstacles that block us from living a life of passion and fullfillment.
Here is an article written by an anonymous author that is the spirit of this site:
LETTING GO
+ To let go does not mean to stop caring, it means I can’t do it for someone else.
+ To let go is not to cut myself off, it’s the realization I can’t control another.
+ To let go is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences.
+ To let go is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands.
+ To let go is not to try to change or blame another, it’s to make the most of myself.
+ To let go is not to care for, but care about.
+ To let go is not to fix, but to be supportive.
+ To let go is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being.
+ To let go is not be in the middle arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to affect their destinies.
More discussion on these concepts in later posts.
